Introduction

In many ways, MetLife’s refusal to provide requested information was the reason for my book.

They fought requests from the EEOC, my attorneys, briefs to the Northern District of Georgia, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and ultimately, US Supreme Court. I was in the process of putting this website together when I realized I had much of the following information all along. 

Even if we put aside the facts that I was the longest-tenured rep of color, only one in the southeastern United States and asked to work assignments based on my race, I lagged behind each of my peers in every category where data was available.
